I enjoy running outside probably more than any other exercise. This summer, I joined a running group made up of women whom all love running more than I do to help keep me motivated. I signed up for a 5K next month, but not just any old 5K, one where I’ll be running away from zombies who’ll try their best to take me down. So with my love of running, and all of my external motivation, you would think that I would be chomping at the bit to get moving every day.

Do you remember the first time you learned to ride a bike? Or better yet, the first time your son or daughter learned how to ride a bike? We just experienced the latter for the 2nd time as our 6-year old son recently began riding his bike, on two-wheels! It was somewhat of a challenge, and a learning experience for us all.« Continue »

While everyone was getting ready to see if the Miami Heat could finish off the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, and get LeBron James his first NBA championship, my family was getting prepared for a championship game of our own. Our 6-year old son, Jackson, and his Junior Rookie Reds baseball team was playing in their league championship game. That was the focal point of our day.« Continue »
