A few months ago I started listening to podcasts frequently. My goal was to become more intentional in the various roles I serve. I really began to enjoy podcasts because they provided something positive and worthwhile in the times my mind was free to roam.
Podcasts are a great use of time
So, my routine became listening to podcasts each morning while in the shower, listening to podcasts while driving, and listening to podcasts sometimes with my wife before bed. What I discovered was, much like blogs, there are a ton of great podcasts with great content for marriage, parenting, and any other area I wanted to grow in.
I subscribed to almost any and every podcast in the areas I was interested. Over time some began to stand out. One in particular was the ONE Extraordinary Marriage podcast with Tony & Alisa DiLorenzo from San Diego, CA.
The #1 marriage podcast
Apparently that podcast stood out to others as well, as it’s the #1 marriage podcast on iTunes. For those who don’t listen to podcasts or aren’t familiar with the hosts of the show, Tony & Alisa are the couple who suggests that couples plan sex. Yes, they plan sex and think we all should too.
While listening to one of the episodes I learned they were not just planning sex, but planning meetups to connect with their podcast listeners and blog readers throughout the country. And they were coming to Indianapolis! After hearing that I decided to reach out to them, and offer my help.
A meetup for married couples
They gladly accepted! So, Stephana and I will be co-hosting the ONE Extraordinary Marriage Midwest Meetup in Indianapolis on Wednesday, July 16th from 6-8pm (EST) at Thr3e Wise Men’s Brewery. We’re excited as it’ll be our first in-person meetup of any kind together, plus we’ll get to meet the DiLorenzo’s in-person for the first time.
So, for those of you in the Indianapolis area, please join us in a couple weeks. Tony and Alisa will be sharing their “Big 3” to empower you to make your marriage extraordinary.
