Quote: The Wise Does At Once What The Fool Does At Last

by

My wife and I have had a humbling experience of the effects of procrastination over the past few days.  We’ve both witnessed it in those close to us, as well as received the gut-punching reality that we are not much different.  It has really been a revelation, or uncovering, of some of our not so desirable habits.

If you are honest with yourself, you may be able to say you have occasionally played for Team Procrastinator, if you are not the team captain.  Whether you played for the team or captained the team, you will probably agree that it has the worst win-loss record in history!

It’s okay to be a quitter…

My wife and I decided we were quitting Team Procrastinator.  You can do the same.  The first step in doing so, is to do it now!  If you are quitting the team, quit now!  Do not wait (do not procrastinate).  This goes for anything in your life.

If you are cutting out a bad habit, do it now.  Right now!  If you are adding a good habit, do it now.  Right now!

The wise does at once what the fool does at last.” – Baltasar Gracian

Make a change, at once…

I encourage you today to not put anything worth doing off until later.  Make that phone call, finish that project, quit that habit, whatever it is for you, do it at once, not at last!  Learn from our mistakes, you won’t be disappointed.

Question:  Can you share a time when you procrastinating and the results were negative?  What about a time when you did something (at once), that you wanted to put off until later, and it turned out really well.  Please share in the comment section below.
