All of us who are married hope to have a marriage that lasts. Not only do we want it to last, but we want it to be fulfilling, and successful in every way. But after we say “I do,” we begin to wonder how we can actually accomplish this. It’s no secret that a successful marriage takes work, just like success at anything in life.
We come into marriage with high hopes and Hollywood-inspired visions of what marriage is going to be like. Then we hit hard patches and we discover things about our spouses (and ourselves) that aren’t as appealing. This leads to a first-hand understanding of why people say “marriage is hard work,” and why the divorce rate is so high.

The Lifeline for our Marriage
Our marriage was no different, and we could have easily been on the wrong side of the divorce statistics. But we had a lifeline. We had couples who had been where we were, were able to get through it, and were able to grow deeper in love with one another.
These couples transparently shared their stories, loved on us, and held us accountable when we didn’t want to be. Without them, Jackie & Stephana Bledsoe, may not be one. We have been lost at various stages in our marriage. And we found ourselves without the means, the knowledge, the maturity to find our way.
Our Marriage is Still Growing
Even now, after writing a book, speaking, and sharing our marriage story to couples all over the place. We don’t know everything there is about marriage today. Never have, and never will. Which is why we still seek the counsel of other couples.
We began doing this early in our marriage and we’ll continue to seek out other couples to help our marriage. We understand the need to keep growing and how others can help us do so.
How would it impact your marriage if you had access to couples with successful marriages just like we did? Well, I’m happy to say that you can.
The Inspiration You Need
My wife, Stephana, and I have been speaking with couples who we trust, who inspire us, and who have in some way influenced our marriage in a positive way. And we are sharing our conversations with these couples in our new 7 Rings of Marriage Summit.
This summit is bringing together twenty couples, all marriage experts in their own right, to share their battle-tested lessons and best-kept secrets for a successful marriage that stands the test of time.
We’ll be interviewing Mark and Susan Merrill, Lamar and Ronnie Tyler, Michael and Gail Hyatt, Kevin and Cetelia Bullard, Aaron and Jennifer Smith, and fourteen other amazing couples who have discovered what it takes to have a marriage that endures and inspires.
Altogether, the conversations with these couples will show you how to get through the rough patches, how to grow deeper in love, and how to ensure a flourishing marriage.
