4 Ways to Structure Your Career Around Your Family

I’ve been a part of a few mastermind groups over the past few years. It never seems to fail that each time we get together something is said or done that is super beneficial. This week it was a quote that has just been messing with me since I heard it.

The quote was actually shared at the previous week’s mastermind, but it was brought up again this week because it had such a profound impact on everyone in the group. It challenged me, my mastermind group, and will challenge you as well.

Please Take My 2015 Reader Survey

At the end of December I went through some goal setting exercises with my wife, and also with a few guys in one of my mastermind groups. We used the Best Year Ever goal setting course from my friend, Michael Hyatt.

The exercises in the course gave me the chance to reflect on 2014, while looking ahead to 2015. If I were to compare my 2014 to a movie, I’d say it would fall in the “adventure” genre.

You get opportunities, and then you get OPPORTUNITIES. I received an email a couple months ago that immediately screamed OPPORTUNITY. It was from the assistant of New York Times best-selling author Michael Hyatt inviting me to meet him in Nashville to share my blogging and platform building story.

What I learned from working with Michael Hyatt

My story was featured in his video-series, I upgraded my web site, and many other opportunities have come as a result. I’ve learned a lot through it all, and Michael asked me to share these lessons by writing a guest post on his site. That post is live today, and I think it’ll be a blessing and source of encouragment for those who’ve reached a point of being stuck.

5 Ways Your Family Can Benefit from a Family Blog

I’ve been blogging for almost three years. I didn’t know exactly what was going to be the result, but I can say I’m pleased with my experience so far. And very excited about what is to come.

5 ways your family can benefit from a family blog

My family has been a big part of my blogging. First, they make up most of my subject matter. My wife will occasionally edit some of my posts (when she doesn’t you can see the difference!). And of course, they pose for tons of pictures. 🙂

Your 2012 Is The Set Up For An Amazing 2013

2012 is leaving and 2013 is arriving whether we like it or not. A reflection of the past 12 months can be very satisfying for some, while disappointing for others.

No matter if you are trying to kick 2012 to the curb as fast as possible, or you hope to savor in each remaining moment, I am sure every one of our futures will be impacted by something we experienced in 2012.

Coaching + Writing = Slam Dunk Opportunity!

Although I have written as much as I’ve liked to lately, my writing is still be read and shared by people.  Recently, I was contacted by a website having an amazing impact on the development of many young athletes, and I was asked to be a contributing writer for the site.  The site is called CoachUp.com, and it is meeting a great need for athletes, and their parents.
